The Reynolds Center for Teaching, Learning, & Creativity team is thrilled to be exhibiting in the nonprofit area at the 2017 MassCUE and M.A.S.S. Annual Technology Conference.

The Reynolds Center will be showcasing highlights from its MaSTEM initiative launched early 2017. Thanks to generous funding from the Cisco Foundation, the MaSTEM initiative includes 34 sites, from Boston to the Berkshires, bringing meaningful STEM education to low-income, high needs districts.
Schools participating in MaSTEM, received software, hardware, and professional development on Fab@School Maker Studio. Fab@School Maker Studio provides robust tools for teaching digital fabrication and desktop manufacturing. Through the online-program, elementary and middle school students can make, test, and revise 2D designs, pop-ups, 3D objects, and working machines as they learn STEM concepts in a meaningful context. "Connecting the Dots" Across Massachusetts to Support K-8 STEM Teaching & Learning

Meet Paul Reynolds and learn how several high-performing nonprofits “connected the dots” through a Mass.-based education innovation cluster to accelerate more engaging STEM learning with younger students (K-8), and are building grant-funded opportunities to bring the Fab@School Maker Studio digital design and fabrication STEM program into districts across the state.
Boston-based Reynolds Center, and its K-12 educational software partner FableVision Learning, will share how it has built a growing national network around the Fab@School Maker Studio digital design and fabrication STEM learning program for K-8 teachers and students. With funding from Cisco Foundation and by partnering with United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley and BoSTEM program partners, Fab@School is now being deployed here across the commonwealth as the Fab@School MaSTEM program.
Not only is Fab@School fully aligned to Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards, it specifically supports the 2016 Massachusetts Science and Technology/Engineering (STE) Curriculum Framework. The Reynolds Center will also share information about a national partnership which offers match grant funds to Massachusetts schools. The Fab@School Match Grant is offered by mindSpark Learning and supported through the Morgridge Family Foundation. Attendees will be provided information on how to apply for the grant.

New York Times best-selling author illustrator will be at the Reynolds Center booth (NP-8) on Thursday, Oct. 26 at 11:15 a.m. to sign books. During that time, 30% of all book sales will benefit the Reynolds Center STEAM initiatives.
