Linda Hammett Ory and Andrew Ory Charitable Trust Fuels Innovation at TLC Studios with $50,000 Donation

The Reynolds Center for Teaching, Learning & Creativity (RC-TLC) is celebrating a generous donation of $50,000 from The Linda Hammett Ory and Andrew Ory Charitable Trust to support the launch of TLC Studios, the nonprofit’s new, digital media arts learning center located outside of Boston. This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to fostering learning and creativity in education.

Led by New York Times best-selling author/illustrator Peter H. Reynolds and his twin brother Paul Reynolds, TLC Studios will serve as a hub for educators, students, and families, providing resources to enhance digital literacy and creative expression. Set to open this summer, the facility will feature digital audio/video/animation production and live-streaming studios, a podcasting studio, AR/VR resources, an engineering design and fabrication maker lab, and state-of-the-art presentation and professional development workshop space.

"We are deeply grateful for the generous support from The Linda Hammett Ory and Andrew Ory Charitable Trust," said Paul Reynolds, Executive Director and Co-Founder of RC-TLC. "The Ory’s early support for TLC Studios not only helped with the build out of the studio, but also it signaled strong support into the philanthropic community about the value of the project.”

Other donors, such as Scholastic, Dedham Savings, Wimpy Kid Author Jeff Kinney, New Jersey Community Foundation, Needham Bank, and the Conners Family have followed the Ory’s lead.

Linda Hammett Ory and Andrew Ory are longtime supporters of education, arts, healthcare, and social justice programs in the Boston area and beyond. Their collaboration with TLC Studios underscores a shared commitment to fostering learning and creativity in education.

"Andy and I are thrilled to support the launch of TLC Studios," said Linda Hammett Ory. "I’ve known Peter since my early days in edtech, and have witnessed how he and his brother have harnessed the transformative power of media, storytelling, and technology. We’re confident that TLC Studios will become a sought-after destination for educators seeking the tools and resources they need to develop creativity and inspire students to become agents of positive change.”

“Creativity and innovation are essential skills for empowering students to become creative problem solvers and champions for good,” added Peter Reynolds. "We can’t wait to open the doors of TLC Studios so educators can recharge their creative batteries and receive the support they need to nurture positive, purposeful creativity in their classrooms.

RC-TLC has launched an ongoing fundraising campaign to help defray the considerable costs associated with the construction and launch of the studio. Early donors will be recognized.
