Join us for a focus on the importance of character development in storytelling with exposure to sculpture, weighting, and form. This enrichment merges a bit of creative writing with 3-D sculpture and a whole lot of imagination. After learning a bit about what makes a great character, students will craft a character profile and backstory and then bring them to life using wire armatures, foil, and polymer clay. Build one character or a whole cast of them, a backdrop, and props. Final projects will be fired and sent home to paint if desired. There might even be a show to present. This enrichment is taught by children's author, visual artist, Taylor Tyng. Sculpey brand clay, contains no allergens, AP non-toxic / Wire / Foil.
