Student Workshop: Critters and Creatures Sketch Lab

  • TLC Studios 390 Washington Street Dedham, MA, 02026 United States (map)

We've ALL got an imagination! But sometimes, the hardest part is getting those creative ideas from our minds onto paper. Whether you're just starting your artistic journey or looking to grow your skills, taking that first step can feel nerve-wracking.

During the Critters and Creatures Sketch Lab workshop, join Joel Gendron, dad to 2 kids, and professional illustrator, to dig deep into our creative brains to see what we discover together. This workshop is designed for students in grades 1-5 with a goal of building confidence in young artists who want to build their skills as an illustrator. This adventure starts with slow, simple, and probably silly sketch challenges. Through a series of fun, simple, and even silly design challenges, participants will explore their creativity in a pressure-free environment.

Whether you're sketching for the first time or looking to refine your abilities, this workshop is a space to experiment, explore, and most importantly—have fun! Come ready to create, laugh, and let your imagination lead the way!

When: Wednesday, July 9, 10-11 a.m.

Audience: Students in grades 1-5

TLC Studios is located at 390 Washington Street in Dedham, Ma. There is easy, free parking at Keystone Lot (10 Eastern Ave.).
