NSEA Workshop: Resilience & Creativity in the Classroom
FableVision Learning has collaborated with Partnerships in Education and Resilience (PEAR) to create a unique program that combines the joy and inspiration of Peter H. Reynolds’ picture books with research-backed social-emotional learning targets.
During this workshop, Sara Smith will introduce our highly regarded new programming that allows teachers and students to explore meaning and establish a strong sense of belonging in the classroom while discussing stories, playing games, and engaging in activities meant to build rapport and trust. Participants will be given the opportunity to pilot this 14-lesson program in return for providing feedback for further development.

NSEA Workshop: Be You!: Discover the Value of Being You
During the session “Discover the Value of Being You”, you will use FableVision Learning’s Start with A Story Program and read Be You! by Peter H Reynolds to discover a joyful reminder of the ways that every child is unique and special. After reading the story, you will have the opportunity to participate in a series of activities including journaling and animating.
Start with A Story is a classroom series that ties the works of New York Times best-selling author/illustrator Peter H. Reynolds, founder of FableVision, to hands-on and technology-based activities/projects for SEL, journaling, storytelling, team-building, as well as engineering and animation.
Please bring your own internet-connected device to participate in the fun, but not required.

Peter H. Reynolds to Keynote NSEA U 2023
Peter H. Reynolds, New York Times best-selling author/illustrator and founder of FableVision Learning, is excited to join Nebraska educators at NSEA U 2023 on July 17, 2023. He will provide an inspirational virtual keynote message.
Following Peter’s keynote, FableVision Learning will deliver in-person sessions for teachers. Sessions will use Peter’s books as scaffolding and will provide hands-on activities to help teachers explore concepts, build self-esteem and, finally, have activities to support bringing the skills back into the classroom.

On Friday, Oct. 7, Peter H. Reynolds and Sara Smith, Director of Creative Education, will connect the dots with educators in Hawaii during the 3rd Annual Paukalehua Early Learning Conference in Hawaii. Peter will Zoom into this closed event and share a special message titled “One Brave Dot.”
Sara will end the conversation with tips and tricks on activating Peter’s books in the classroom through SEL. The conference will provide professional development for early learning educators.

Peter H. Reynolds to keynote Southeast Regional Reading Council Annual Meeting
Peter H. Reynolds is excited to once again connect the dots with the Southeast Regional Reading Council on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 4:00pm.
As the featured keynote speaker at the annual meeting, Peter will celebrate local educators at the event. Book sales will be provided by the Blue Bunny Bookstore in Dedham, MA, and Andrea Calvin from the FableVision Learning team will be on-hand to chat.

Get all the benefits of attending a conference right from the comfort of your home! Join Peter H. Reynolds at the virtual Summer 2020 NOW Conference on July 30, 2020. The global conference for art teachers is organized by the Art of Education University.
As a featured presenter, Mr. Reynolds will discuss creativity, learning, and self expression. Hear some behind- the-scenes stories about his books as well as access to presentations from more than 20 other artistic creators.
The Art of Education University team has worked to ensure that this summer’s presentations cover the unique needs of teaching art at a time of distance learning.

On Friday, April 12, at 9:30 a.m. Paul will share about his books (Going Places, Sydney and Simon) and how to Create Bravely.

Libraries, Games, and Play Conference
The American University Game Lab and FableVision Studios will be hosting a conference on April 6, 2019 at in Washington, DC, that will explore innovative educational uses of games in library settings. The forum will bring together diverse stakeholders including leadership in school, public, and university libraries to provide best practices and future trends for games and game-based activities.
